Cultural G20-G8 SummitIn these times of international economic crisis, the dynamic nature of cultural creation is more than ever a crucial factor in growth and employment. It is also a vital issue of civilisation. It is for this reason that the French Presidency wished this meeting to follow on from the declaration of Heads of State and Governments at the Deauville Summit on the 26 and 27 May, which revealed a consensus in favour of promoting responsible use of the Internet. The G20 on social issuesThe G20 Labour and Employment Ministers, meeting in Paris on 26 and 27 September 2011, adopted conclusions aimed at strengthening the social dimension of globalization. They stated the importance of employment as an objective of economic policy, with focus on youth employment.

The meeting of the Ministers of AgricultureAll along its presidency of the G20, France intends to give priority to the volatility of the agricultural markets and to the prevention of food crisis, including the improvement of the transparency of agricultural markets, a better coordination to prevent and manage agricultural crisis, the regulation of financial markets of commodity derivatives, and the situation of the most vulnerable countries, especially in order to boost the sustainable development of agriculture.

Opening of the G20 seminar ont the reform of the International Monetary SystemPresident Sarkozy was in Nanking, China on Thursday March 31 2011, alongside the Vice-Prime Minister of China, to launch a seminar on reforming the international monetary system. Nicolas Sarkozy attended the seminar as President of the G20 and called the proposition for reform important for the future of the world in creating a stable and more robust international monetary system.
