Xavier Bertrand is the Mayor of Saint Quentin (France) since 2010. He has been elected Member of Parliament several times. After having been minister for Health then Labour, Xavier Bertrand has been appointed minister for employment, labour and health in November 2010.

He was before Ambassador for the environment, in charge of various negotiations in that field and reporting to the French Minister of foreign affairs and the Minister for ecology and sustainable development.

After having worked for the international law firm of Baker and McKenzie, notably as Chairman of the Global Executive Committee, Christine Lagarde joined the government in june 2005 as Minister for Foreign Trade. She then was Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, and became in June 2007 the first woman to hold the post of Finance and Economy Minister of a G7 country. Christine Lagarde is Managing Director of the IMF since July 2011.
